  • Announcement of the successful candidates.
  • Participate in the orientation sessions which are going to be held in your faculty with your academic coordinators. Time and date will be announced via e-mails. You will be informed about Learning Agreements, Course Selection, Letter of Acceptance, ECTS Credits and Grants.
  • After initial nomination by the International Programs Office, your application will be sent to the host university or organisation.   
  • Check the course catalog of partner universities.
  • Discuss your preferred university, courses and graduation requirements with your academic advisor and coordinator.
  • Discuss your intern programme with your coordinator.
  • Selected students must submit an approved and signed copy of their Learning Agreements for studies/tranings to both ABU and the host institute.
  • Take a complete overview of the host institute in terms of course availability, the language of instruction, housing and living expenses.
  • Students who are selected for the Erasmus + Study Mobility program will not be allowed to register for courses at ABU for that semester.
  • Erasmus students are supposed to take 30 ECTS and are responsible for passing at least 20 ECTS for each semester.
  • Universities send e-mails about their university and accommodation if it is possible to your e-mail accounts. Follow them up; you are responsible for their rules and arranging your own accommodation.
  • After you receive your letter of acceptance, you will apply for your visa with the documents asked from the embassy. You need to take a signed official grant letter from the ABU International Programmes Office.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to keep in touch with IPO, in case of any amendments  made to the curriculum by the host institute and in order not to face any difficulties at the time of credit transfer to ABU. 
  • Open a Euro account at Denizbank. Your grants will be transferred to this account.
  • The Erasmus Exchange starts with the orientation day specified by the partner university. You should travel before the orientation day
  • Students who is selected for the internship need to work for a minimum of 60 days in an organization they will find it in Erasmus + countries. (Administrative units and research centers of companies, non-governmental organizations or universities)
  • Erasmus Internship can’t be done in diplomatic representations, organizations related to EU Community and EU funded projects.
  • Summer is preferred for Internship.
  • Host (receiving) organizations for student traineeships may be any public or private organization active in the labor market or in the fields of education, training and youth.
  • ABU or IPO doesn’t guarantee internship placements. Students have to find it by themselves. IPO can provide information about how and where to find the placement.
  • The traineeship period has to be at least 2 months. 
     

INSURANCE

The participants are required to have Health and Travel Insurance. For internship students, they should have also Accident Insurance.

VISA

Selected students are required to carry out visa process at their own in embassy/ consulate of relevant country.

IPO will provide “Consulate/ Grant Letter” to be use for visa application, letter will contain terms for Erasmus Program.

ACCOMODATION

ABU will have no responsibility for accommodation of selected students. Instead host institute can and will helps in this regard
